In casting and heat treatment plants, the crucibles require materials that can withstand the attack of molten metals. In addition, the crucibles must not affect the molten metal or the finished product. Graphite is proving to be a superior material in this respect. It is characterized by the fact that the molten metal does not wet the graphite surface.
